Aanand L Rai: “India is more accepting of Pakistani talent” lyrics, song mp3 download, family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography
Bollywood films being banned in Pakistan is not quite uncommon. Films such as ‘Phantom’ (2015), ‘Baby’ (2015), ‘Neerja'(2016) and ‘Dishoom’ (2016) haven’t been permitted a release in the country earlier, and filmmaker Aanand L Rai’s production, ‘Happy Bhaag Jayegi’ (2016) is the latest entrant to join this list.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Rai said that he feels “sad for the people of Pakistan”.
“They have been deprived of so many things because of political pressures. I feel proud to be a part of a country, where I have the freedom to express myself” he added.
Rai also said that India is more accepting of Pakistani actors, and that people in the Hindi Entertainment industry have a better understanding of creativity. The filmmaker however added that one cannot compare the two countries.
The ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013) director, who is gearing up for his next Shah Rukh Khan starrer where Khan allegedly plays a dwarf, is clearly passionate about his work and stated, “I love telling stories. I enjoy the process, and I don’t want to complicate film-making. I want to keep it simple, and I want to be known as a teller of small stories.”
