I'm not cut out for production: Ranbir Kapoor family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography, husband, wife, affairs
Mumbai, Sept. 3 — Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Tamasha (2015). His upcoming film will release later this year.
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s younger lot of actors, such as Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, have been signing one film after the other.
Ask him if he feels a sense of competition with them, and Ranbir says, “Competition is a good thing; it has always been there. It was present when Raj Kapoor (his grandfather), Dev Anand and Dilip Kumar were acting. It only drives us to become better versions of ourselves.”
Rumours about Fawad Khan’s screen time being increased in Ranbir’s next film have been doing the rounds for a while now. But the actor chooses not to say much about the except, “I hope his part has been increased.” The Barfi! (2012) star goes on to add that it was “a lot of fun” working with the Pakistani actor. “He is talented. Hanging out with him, even outside the sets, was so much fun. We struck a good friendship,” says Ranbir.
The actor has been producing a movie for almost three years now. He points out that production is a “tough job”. “I have realised, I am not cut out for production. It’s a [tough] job, and so is acting. Mixing the two is very difficult,” he says.
Ranbir also walked the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week last week. He feels there is a distinct shift in the way men dress today.
“There are more options now. A lot of people in India are pushing the boundaries where fashion is concerned,” he says. But Ranbir is quick to add that these boundaries are extended by men only during festivals like Diwali. “That shouldn’t be the case. It should be followed even in your day-to-day lives,” he says.
