Needless to say, they loved it too.
Some liked the lyrics of the remake song Afreen Afreen sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mutehsan and as they believed it was very different from the way love and emotions were described in the American pop genre.
Others grooved to the catchy beat while listening to Abrar-ul-Haq’s Pani Da Bulbula.
Some liked Mai Dhai’s voice and the traditional dress she wore while singing Aankharli Pharookai. “I love her voice,” the woman said. “I really like her outfit,” the man added.
A woman had to resort to Urdu to praise Atif Aslam’s rendition of Tajdaar-i- Haram, so moved she was left by the message the song conveyed. “Uff, bohat khoobsurat,” she said.
One person didn’t understand the song Pani Da Bulbula. “I didn’t understand the bubble of water.” Another said, “Hopefully these are the most fun Pakistani songs I have ever heard.”
