Fawad Khan's statement on terror fails to assuage anger, dismissed as 'too diplomatic' family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography, husband, wife, affairs
While some are hailing Fawad Khan for his Facebook post on terror and ban on Pakistani artistes in Bollywood, a lot of Facebook users are blaming the Pakistani heartthrob for being too diplomatic and failing to take a stand. After a long silence on the issue which affects him directly, the Pakistani actor had yesterday hoped for peace.
However, it seems, for fans this is too late and too little. “Lol What a balance.your statement is even more Diplomatic than diplomats you are playing very well on the edge for your future and that’s good for you but sometimes you have to show your feelings and emotions as Patriot for your country….!!!” said a user on Facebook as the comments kept rolling in.

While a user called it “elegant diplomacy,” another wrote, “stop acting innocent! People in India loved you always, supported you even when half the population stood against you,and what you did? You betrayed them by acting innocent in India and just when you reached the pakistani border your statements changed.” There were a few who backed Fawad too.
Fawad’s statement came on a day a movie body requested MNS not to hinder the release of films starring Pakistani actors, the most prominent being Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Fawad. Ajay Devgn, whose Shivaay will clash with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, also said that he will not star with Pakistani actors in the present climate.
In his official Facebook post, Fawad wrote, “I’ve been in Lahore since July as my wife and I had been expecting our second child. I’ve received numerous requests from the media and from well wishers worldwide asking me for my thoughts on the sad incidents that took place in the past few weeks. As a father of two little children, I pray and wish like many others that together we can build and live in a more peaceful world. I believe we owe it to our children who will shape our tomorrow. This is the first time I have spoken on the matter. Please disregard any other words attributed to me during this time because I have not said them. I thank all my fans and fellow artists from Pakistan, India and people in general all over the world who have shown continued support for their belief in love and understanding to unite a divisive world.”
Fawad’s statement comes a day after two other Pakistan artistes — singer Shafqat Amanat Ali and actor Mawra Hocane, condemned the Uri attacks and showed concern over the rising terror strikes on the border. While Fawad’s post talks about peace, without supporting any nation specifically, his fans are dissapointed. Read what they said here:
Fawad was among a list of Pakistani artistes, who were targetted by the MNS in the aftermath of the Uri attack. MNS had demanded a ban on Fawad along with Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar in Bollywood and even threatened them to go back within 48 hours.
