Pakistan's first ever cricket reality show is (almost) here! lyrics, OST title song mp3 download, cast, timings, drama review, written update (source: hipinpakistan)
Cricket was a household name in Pakistan, but then things like final of Twenty20 world cup 2007, attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009, the great semi final of 2011, and Azhar Ali becoming the captain for ODIs happened and our cricket lost its charm. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tried to restore the glory through Pakistan Super League, but the inaugural ceremony broke our hearts even more as we saw cricketing stars like Waqar Younis, Shahid Afridi, and rest of the team loitering in the background as our current superstars, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Ayesha Omar owned the front row. “Where did we wrong?” we thought and it seems cricket buff and renowned host, Fakhr-e-Alam was also thinking on similar lines, hence, he conceived a cricket reality show titled, Kriket Super Star.
What makes the reality show interesting is the involvement of international cricketing stars such as Jonty Rhodes, Sir Andy Roberts, Damien Martin and Danny Morrison. The show, which consists of 13 episodes, is directed by Lux Style Award winner Sohail Javed. The first leg of the show is wrapped up and now the second and final leg will be shot in Australia in January 2017.

The filming of Kriket Super Star, which is Pakistan’s first ever cricket reality show, is conceived, created and hosted by Fakhr-e-Alam – founder of EzDaam. Alam is a household name for two decades and had recently taken the cricket broadcast world by storm when he started hosting cricket shows on Ten Sports late last year.
How did the reality show come together?
Fakhr-e-Alam came up with the idea of holding a grass root level talent hunt during the ICC world T20 and discussed the idea with former New Zealand fast bowler and cricket commentator, Danny Morrison.
“Danny was very supportive of the idea and agreed to be part of it almost immediately. This gave me confidence to go full on after the execution of the show,” Alam shares. “Kriket Super Star could not be possible without this team. Everyone brings something special to the final product. I am personally grateful to Mr. Numan Nabi and Mr. Arif Habib for believing in my dream.”
Fakhr-e-Alam then contacted Mr.Numan Nabi, who is the owner of Sports International Marketing and has organised international cricket in Canada and is known in the media industry as a passionate sports enthusiast. Fakhr-e-Alam and Numan Nabi then teamed up with Karachi Sports Foundation which is further supported by Arif Habib Group, Aman Foundation and Omar Associates. This synergy resulted in creating Kriket Super Star which is Pakistan’s 1st, biggest and most expensive TV cricket reality show.
Trials for Kriket Super Star were held in three regions of Pakistan searching for raw talent. Local selectors included Pakistan’s former fast bowler, Jallaludin – the 1st ever cricketer to get a hat trick in ODI history against Australia – stylish former opening batsman, Mohammad Waseem, and the legendary leg spinner Abdul Qadir. The local selectors held trials of around 1600 youngsters out of which 24 were selected to be presented to international judges.
The international judges were South African legendary fielder, Jonty Rhodes, West Indian fast bowling legend, Sir Andy Roberts, Australian middle order batsman, Damien Martyn, and New Zealand fast bowler, Danny Morisson. The four international judges then went through elimination rounds to select two finalist who will now go to Australia for international coaching.

Bringing international stars to Pakistan
Perhaps the biggest achievement of Kriket Super Star was to bring these cricketing giants to Karachi something which the Pakistan Cricket Board and government have failed to do so.
According to a press release, Jonty Rhodes, Sir Andy Roberts, Damien Martin and Danny Morrison thoroughly enjoyed filming in Pakistan. They travelled every day from their hotel in Clifton to Naya Nazimabad cricket ground which took them through the entire city. All four judges were very impressed by the facilities at Naya Nazimabad development. In fact, Danny Morrison even showed interest in investing in Naya Nazimabad real estate which is being developed by Arif Habib group. All four judges are very keen to return to Pakistan for season 2 of Kriket Super Star and want to be part of local trials as well the next time around.
The four international cricket legends went around Karachi enjoyed the local restaurants, spent an afternoon at the beach on seaview and even enjoyed wearing local designer kurta shalwars. They kriket super star team was alo invited to CM house for tea with chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Governor house Sindh to have tea with the governor Dr.Ishrat ul Ibad.
You will all be able to see their adventures in Pakistan on Kriket Super Star.
It is not yet decided on which channel will the show go on air on, but it promises to be an entertaining watch which will uplift cricket in Pakistan, and will improve Pakistan’s image internationally and that is exactly what Pakistan needs.
