With a few days left for the much-anticipated film to hit the screens, reports of makers toying with the idea of using face replacement technology have been giving many fans sleepless nights. Buzz has it that Fawad’s face might be replaced with that of Saif Ali Khan for the film. But the production house has rubbished these rumours saying that there is no truth to it.However, Purohit seems to have found the idea fascinating and has made a hilarious spoof of the trailer by finding a replacement for Fawad- FTII Chairperson Gajendra Chauhan. Purohit has replaced Fawad’s shots with mug shots of Gajendra, and the result is hilarious. Gajendra mouthing “Mohabbat Karta Hu Tumse” to Anushka will have you splits.
In an interview to Hitlist, Purohit has slammed government’s decision to ban Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood and said that if government continues to have its say, this is how films would look like.
He said, “We’ve come to terms with being dictated by Chauhan and Pahlaj Nihalani (chairman, Central Board of Film Certification), who constantly support the government’s decision, whether or not the decisions are taken by people qualified to do so, but we’re not okay with featuring a celebrated actor like Fawad Khan in our films. If this is what the government wants, then my trailer is an insight into how our films would look if they had their way.”
Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is one of the films that has invited the wrath of MNS for the presence of Fawad. The Pakistani actor has a cameo in the film, wherein he plays the role of Anushka Sharma’s husband.
The film, which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor, is set to hit the screens on October 28.
