Tum Kon Piya continues to impress us even though we have a number of new (and more popular) drama serials on air in the current quarter. Episode 27 brings the end of the cleverly woven trap designed by Javeria and Arif. She cautiously planned to destroy Zarbab and Arif was hand in glove with her at every step and they both took their revenge on Zarbab, but unfortunately Ilma became the collateral damage here. Javeria gets exactly what she desired and is now a relaxed soul.
Zarbab decides to leave Ilma on the behest of Javeria and Arif and this proves to be the last straw for our leading lady and she ends up in an ICU failing to bear the betrayal of her husband.
All the actors have done justice to their characters and while characters like Zarbab, Arif and Javeria are hateful on screen, we couldn’t find any fault in their performance. Some of the dialogues between Zarbab and Javeria were quite amusing and it became difficult for the audience to decide who is actually at fault.

TKP has the much needed element of surprise
Tum Kon Piya demonstrates that if a drama serial is well-crafted then it gets difficult to predict what is going to happen next. Ilma’s breakdown, Arif being buddies with Javeria, and Zarbab deciding to leave his son, are twists which we certainly weren’t expecting. Last week, it seemed as if everything would fall into place in the coming episodes, but now the story has taken another unexpected turn.
Although there was an element of surprise to Javeria and Arif’s collaboration, we can’t deny that we were anticipating something of this nature.
Arif’s personality is a real disappointment because being a brother, and after going through tough time himself, how could he not think twice before creating havoc in his brother’s marital life? He is such a thankless person that it makes your blood boil and Yasir Shoro has played his role with utmost perfection.
Ayeza Khan steals the show
The highlight of episode 27 was Ayeza Khan’s marvelous acting, especially in the scene where Zarbab makes the dreaded announcement of marrying Javeria. Her expressions were really brilliant and intense.

While Ilma is always shown as a girl who values her marital relationship more than her past relationship (with Ramish), it was an anomaly to see her welcoming her cousin home when Zarbab had clarified that he won’t accept Ramish’s frequent visits. This behaviour is against the very character of Ilma, who wants to save her marriage at all costs. Apart from this little glitch, which obviously can be ignored, the story is very well presented and executed. Hopefully they will wrap the drama soon and give us a surprising end.

The one question which is haunting us is where is Sobia? She is totally out of the picture and did not even come back even after the death of her mother.
