Shaan Shahid sees cinema and artiste bans as great opportunity for Pakistan lyrics, song mp3 download, family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography, husband, wife, affairs
KARACHI: With Pak-India tensions culminating in artiste bans and cinema restrictions on running the neighbour’s movies, leading Pakistani actor and director Shaan Shahid sees the moves as a huge opportunity for Pakistan to strengthen its own film industry.
The patriotic actor, in a Facebook post on his official account, called out to the intellectual crème of the industry to take this opportunity and up their game, also telling fellow co-actors to refrain from seeking work outside of the homeland and focus on taking as many movies in Pakistan as possible.
“It’s a proud moment for Pakistani films and I’m honoured to be a part of them. I’m honoured to have so many fans who have loved my work and allowed me to entertain them for 25 years, with the respect and love they have always given me comes a price – the price of responsibilities, my responsibility as a Pakistani film actor,” he writes.
“The film industry needs all of us right now together working to build so the future generations don’t have to, they would be sitting on thrones of stardom. Young directors, actors, writers technicians don’t have to go look for work anywhere, they would be able to dream and achieve and not go through the building process.”
“Every star Pakistan has produced needs to put 70% focus inside Pakistan as they should be strengthening the platforms as this is the rebirth of our industry, stars should have production houses they should be making films with young directors, signing projects giving discounts on fees
collectively working as an organisation.”
Calling for unity in the industry, he ended his post asking Pakistani filmmakers to create narratives countering the way Pakistan is viewed in the rest of the world by creating our own versions of superheroes and films like ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. –SAMAA
