After lots of controversy surrounding Karan Johar’s upcoming movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, MNS has also issued green signal to Ali Zafar’s ‘Dear Zindagi’ and Mahira Khan’s ‘Raees’.
According to Indian media reports, Following the meeting between Karan Johar, Film & Television Producers Guild of India President Mukesh Bhatt, MNS chief Raj Thackeray and CM Devendra Fadnavis, the party has come to a decision that films which were shot with Pakistani actors before the Uri attack will not face prosecution by the MNS.
Working president of MNS, Shalini Thackeray said, “They always said that these films were shot before the (Uri) attack happened. So, in today’s meeting, it became clear that apart from the three films which have been completed — Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Raees and Dear Zindagi — no other films with Pakistani artistes will be released.”
While Fawad has a special appearance in the romantic- drama, Pakistani actress Mahira Khan will be making her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Raees’ and in ‘Dear Zindagi’ Ali Zafar is one of the actors paired opposite Alia Bhatt.
However, makers of ‘Raees’ have always been optimistic about the release of their movie, ‘ADHM’ director Karan Johar had to plead Indian government/people for the safe release of his movie.
