Pakistani cinema owners, who were all set to lift ban on Indian films today, have now deferred it following attack on police academy in Quetta that left at least 60 personnel dead and over 122 injured.
Chairman of Pakistani exhibitors and Distributors Association Zoraiz Lashari said that that their basic demand was a lift on the ban on Pakistani actors working in Indian and the Indian authorities have lifted the ban.
He said that even Fawad Khan’s film is all set to be released in India on time, which is they were looking forward to a more positive outcome of the entire scenario.
Since there was no government intervention, exhibitors had decided on their own to stop screening of Indian films after Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association (IMPPA) ban on Pakistani artists and technicians working in India earlier in October after Uri attacks in occupied Kashmir.
