Earlier today it was being said that cinemas in Pakistan would be lifting their ban on Bollywood films today. However, it seems this has now been delayed due to the attacks at the Quetta Police Training College.

The chairman of Pakistani Exhibitors and Distributors Association had previously said, according to Indian Express, “Our basic demand was a lift on the ban on Pakistani actors working in India and the Indian authorities have lifted that ban. Even Fawad Khan’s film is all set to be released in India on time, which is why even we are looking forward to a more positive outcome of this entire scenario”.

The film in question is this week’s release, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which stars Fawad Khan in an extended cameo. The film’s release was in jeopardy but after the producers and other industry supporters met with Raj Thackeray, it’s thought there wasn’t going to be any more stalling and the film could release on time in India.

The film is slated for release on 28th October, directed by Karan Johar.
