1.  Diyar-e-Dil

The massive success of Diyar e dil has a lot to do with the amazing visuals captured in the melodious OST and throughout the play. Shot in Skardu – Gilgit Baltistan and Lahore – Punjab, this drama revealed a gorgeous side of Pakistan that many of us had never witnessed before.

2.  Karachi se Lahore

The humourous and witty comedy flick Karachi se Lahore had a central plot of an ill planned road trip. Some of the shots of the mountainous journey and the colorful destination of Lahore were captured really well; adding depth, relevance and vibrancy to the storyline.

3.  Gul-e-Raana

Gul e Raana was a very dramatic and intense love story flavored with aggression and hatred. The success or likability of this drama is a different matter but it undoubtedly had heads turning with its initial promos and OST. The chemistry of the leading pair and the gorgeous backdrop made gul-e-raana something different to look forward to.

4.  Janaan

This movie was all about narrating Pakhtun culture and projecting a more positive image of Pakistan. And the monumental success of Janaan shows that to an extent it has accomplished just that.

This movie was a visual delights! Apart from the ridiculously good looking actors, Swat Valley appeared gloriously beautiful in all the outdoor scenes of the movie.

5.  Sange Mar Mar

Again shot in the very beautiful Swat Valley, Sange Mar Mar is currently airing on Hum TV. The drama gives an insight into Pakhtun culture; their values, tradition and principles, while sharing a tale of love and betrayal.
