'Raees': Another movie with a Pakistani star, will it make the cut? lyrics, song mp3 download, family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography
Helmed by Rahul Dholakia, ‘Raees’ is set in 1980s Gujarat and tells the story of bootlegger Raees Alam (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is challenged and eventually thwarted by a police officer ACP Ghulam Patel (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Mahira Khan, who plays Mohsina – SRK’s love interest. Sunny Leone to makes a guest appearance.
Loosely based on the life of criminal Abdul Latif, the film is scheduled to release on 26th January. Latif was an underworld figure in Gujarat and an associate of Dawood Ibrahim.
The poster of the film featuring a bespectacled and bearded SRK sitting in front of boxes of alcohol that read, “Baniya ka dimag and miyabhai ki daring” is sure to get you thinking. The King Khan’s expression and body language in the poster make it an absolute treat for the eyes.
A large part of the film is shot in Mumbai, where specially designed sets depicted Ahmedabad. But the last schedule of the film was shot in Gujarat. Scenes have also been shot at the ancient tomb, Sarkhej Roza, for which the Archeological Survey of India had raised clearance issues.
This is the first time Shah Rukh Khan is working with Rahul Dholakia. And we can’t wait to see the final result.
