‘I love Pakistan’, Trump’s message to Pakistan goes viral

imageNewly-elected President of the United States of America Donald Trump has expressed love for Pakistan. Although it is unclear when the video was originally recorded, the message appears to be a positive one.

While Trump’s victory has surprised most of Pakistanis and people around the world, who are presuming a shift in new US administration policy towards Pakistan, but the new video which recently got viral says something else entirely.

Trump said, “I love Pakistan.”

On the other hand, David Hale, Ambassador of the United States to Pakistan has said that there would not be any change in foreign policy towards Pakistan.

Earlier, Trump was severally criticized when he proposed a ‘Muslim ban’ and surveillance of mosques, when he labeled Mexican immigrants ‘rapists’ and again when he revealed how little he thought of black people by dismissing the African Americans as ‘inner city’.

Pakistan has already hailed Trump’s offer to mediate between Pakistan and India on Kashmir dispute.

Pakistan ‘welcomed’ the US president-elect Donald Trump’s offer, informed FO Spokesman Nafees Zakaria during a weekly press briefing in Islamabad on Thursday.

Zakaria, while addressing queries about the recent victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential elections, said that the newly elected President had earlier offered mediation between Pakistan and India on Kashmir dispute and “We had welcomed that offer.”

Furthermore, the FO spokesman said that Pakistan desires a close relationship with the US, and wishes to further strengthen it.
