Mahira Hafeez Khan (pronounced [maɦiːraː hafiːz kʰan]; born 21 December 1984) is a Pakistani actress and former VJ. One of the nation’s most popular and highest-paid actresses, she has established a career in Pakistan and is the recipient of several awards, including three Lux Style Awards.
Khan, born and raised in Karachi, left her university education in support to become an actress, and worked as a VJ for various television shows. She soon received offers for acting roles, and made her acting debut in 2011 with a supporting role in the social drama Bol, which rank among the highest-grossing Urdu films. She then played a leading role in the Hum TV’s successful romantic television drama Humsafar (2011), which established her as a leading actress of Pakistan.
