Fawad Khan Birthday Special: 5 times he mesmerised us with his acting family, wedding pictures, age, height, weight, biography

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan came, saw and conquered Bollywood. While he was already a big name in Pakistan, he came into prominence in India only after his shows Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Humsafar. His killer looks, deep voice, sexy eyes, just-about-perfect adam’s apple combined with his marvellous acting skills made him an universal object of desire.

We owe a lot to Anil Kapoor for bringing this talent to India. Yes, Fawad was his find. The actor made his Bollywood debut opposite Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat. He then went on to play the role of a closeted gay in Kapoor & Sons. The last we got to see him was in a cameo in Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Though short, his role was indeed unforgettable in the film.

It’s unfortunate that we had to lose such a promising actor because of the ongoing political unrest, but there is no denying that somewhere we all are looking forward to his comeback. On his 43rd birthday, let’s have a look at his 5 best performances..

Ashar Hussain of Humsafar

Humsafar revolves around the trials and tribulations of a married couple – Ashar and Khirad (Mahira Khan). Ashar goes through an entire gamut of emotions in the story from getting into a forced marriage, falling in love with his wife, separating and hating her to death and then finally reconciling with her. The kind of depth Fawad lent to this character is indeed commendable.

Zaroon Junaid of Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Fawad became an overnight sensation after this show and the reason lies in his honest portrayal of Zaroon Junaid, a filthy rich, bit snobbish, flirty yet sensible guy. The story revolves around two persons, opposite in thoughts and financial status, who end up falling in love with each other.

Vikram Singh Rathore of  Khoobsurat

Now when I look back I feel there is no one in the industry who could have pulled off the role of a Rajput royal as gracefully as he did. His persona oozed royalty and nobility. His innate tehzeeb and nazaakat helped him portray the role wonderfully.

Khoobsurat

Rahul Kapoor of Kapoor & Sons

Who could have thought that a mainstream hero, who hails from a relatively conservative country like Pakistan, would agree to play a role of a gay in a big-budget Bollywood film. But this man did and how. India definitely hadn’t seen a more matured portrayal of a gay character before.

DJ Ali of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Now what do I say about this. Those who didn’t like the film say that Fawad was the best part about it and those who did say they wish he had more scenes. So you see that’s what he does to a film.

Happy Birthday once again, Fawad. Hope to see you soon.
