The first episode of Seeta Bagri introduced us to all the characters and the plot, leaving us visually engaged and captivated. However, Nandini’s (Bushra Ansari) hunt for prince charming hinted things are going to get complicated and love will turn into war.
‘Seeta Bagri’ Episode 1 Review – Visually captivating & engaging so far
Nandini shared the bus with Ratan from Hyderabad to Karachi not knowing he was the same guy she bumped into at the station. After an introduction in Karachi, the two seem overwhelmed by the fact that they both belong to the Hindu community. While Ratan was happy to find they were religiously connected, Nandini found a much greater connection. For her it was love at first sight; Nandini had found the one.
In the preview of the 2nd episode, we saw Nandini with Ratan where he’s helping her start fresh in Karachi and she giving him dreamy expressions. In this episode we see the entire family welcome her in their home and make her feel comfortable. Nandini seems to have found her destination, but fears Saeen would find her and take Ratan away from her.
Her fear seems evident from the nightmare she has where Saeen finds them and shoots Ratan! Yes, just like we predicted, it was just a bad dream.
Will Ratan be Nandini’s saviour or would it be the other way round?
Ratan is drowning in debt and has been threatened to pay back ASAP, or they’d hurt his sister. Mala Rani (Shameen Khan) is the only family Ratan has, his cousin who he had taken responsibility of after her father died.
Unable to pay the debt, Ratan gets in a fight where Nandini rescues him. Not once, but she rescues him time and time again. She throws money for Ratan’s safety and tells him he owes her nothing in return. What’s hers is his and it would be a blessing if she could be of his use. If this isn’t loving, we don’t know what is! However, this older woman falls for a younger boy love story seems to really have taken over the world it seems.
Even though Seeta can see what Nandini is up to, she has complete faith in Ratan. But when her father suggests that should Ratan marry Nandini, is when it really hits her hard.
Should Ratan marry Nandini to pay off the debt and start a family? Will she buy her love with all the money she has?
Everyone plays their characters well, the dialogues and costumes make it very convincing to believe it’s a Hindu family. So far, the drama looks good and we’ll be looking forward to the next episode.
