ISLAMABAD: Pakistani and Afghani singers and musicians enthralled the audience at a musical evening arranged by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), in collaboration with Women and Peace Studies Organisation.

An Afghanistan parliamentary delegation was in the town to attend the event where, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb was present along with number diplomats, celebrities and media personalities and a large number of people from different walks of life.

The Pashto and Darri songs by Wisal Khayal, Malala Khan and Afghani artist Hamid Shidai left the audience spell bound at the at PNCA auditorium. A video of a song by PNCA Director General Jamal Shah was also played.

A stage performance on Af-Pak people to people relation was also presented in English before the musical show.

A member of the Afghan delegation thanked the government of Pakistan and CRSS for presenting such a beautiful amalgamation of culture and music from the two countries.

While talking to APP, Shidai said, “I really enjoyed being part of today’s musical show, especially because it was arranged to celebrate the culture of two brotherly countries”. APP
