Two-time boxing champion Amir Khan has been involved in philanthropic activities for a while now. Last year his foundation held a high-end charity event in Pakistan, with its prime focus being able to raise funds for the people of Thar, due to the major water shortage there. It’s aim was also to introduce international boxing in the country. Now, he has joined hands with Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her foundation to make an impact on the plight of orphans within South East Asia. A concert in London is being organized to bring awareness to this noble cause and joining this venture will be our very own, Abrar-ul-Haq.
Amir and Shilpa promise to bring together the leading South Asian celebrities on one platform in the UK. The duo aims to create awareness of the fact that South East Asia has one of the highest orphan populations in the world, estimated to be around 40 Million.

Abrar-ul-Haq will be the only Pakistani artist to perform at the concert and rock the UK with his desi beats. Joining him will be Jay Sean, Jassi Sidhu and Bonafide to name a few.
According to an interview, Khan stated that the reason why he founded the Amir Khan Foundation was to manage international projects, such as establishing an orphanage within Gambia and clean water wells in Pakistan.
With Orphan Aid being UK’s biggest Asian charity concert, HIP would like to wish both the organizations and Abrar all the best for this noble event happening on the 29th of April at the Troxy, London.
