Irrfan Khan, who was last seen in ‘Madaari’ in July 2016 has become the ‘talk of town’ for his upcoming movie with Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, ‘Hindi Medium’. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, the movie talks about an important social issue and Irrfan Khan says that the movie’s imposing content will carry it all and not him.
After last seen in a riveting performance of a vigilante in year 2016 movie ‘Madaari’, ‘Hindi Medium’ is his next movie at the box office and he is quite optimistic about it. Speaking in an interview to a leading daily, Irrfan Khan said, It’s not me. It’s the content that will carry the film. The whole issue of bachcho ke school ka admission is dealt with in an entertaining way. I don’t think audiences want to watch social issues in films unless it’s done in an interesting way. The subject is serious but the treatment is light and entertaining.”
Irrfan Khan is an actor who has already created a niche for himself in the industry and with ‘Hindi Medium’, the actor aims at doing movies that reach out to a larger audience and that’s how, we see his association with director Saket Chaudhary.
On the other hand, there is a lot that has been said about Pakistani actress Saba Qamar who is debuting in Bollywood with ‘Hindi Medium’. Director Saket Chaudhary recently talked about how he finalized Saba Qamar opposite Irrfan in the movie; where he explained “Casting a Pakistani actor isn’t your first choice. We considered the options we had here, but I was struggling to find an actress willing to play a mother, so we widened our options.”
‘Hindi Medium’ releases on 12th May 2017.
