SOME LESSER KNOWN FACTS ABOUT ATIF ASLAM
Atif first performed at a fancy dress competition as the captain of Pakistan Cricket Team, Imran Khan.
He completed his 10th standard at the age of 14, which is rare.
His favourite subject in school was mathematics.
He did his first competitive performance at the Independence Day function at his college after his friends encouraged him to participate. Later, he won the competition.
He aspired to be a cricketer, but his parents wanted him to become a doctor. Instead, he chose to do computer engineering, where he really struggled.
His first real concert was at McDonald’s, where he was paid 500 rupees (PKR).
He along with Goher Mumtaz formed a band named Jal, where the first recorded the song “Aadat” that became popular in no time and made Atif a star overnight.
He left Jal band for the reason that he wanted his brother to be the supervisor of the band. On the other hand, Goher’s brother also wanted to turn into the manager. This created an argument and as a result, Atif left the band.
