Faysal Quraishi started his acting career when he was a child. He first acted in the plays Emergency Ward and Andhera Ujala for Pakistan Television (PTV). His first movie was Saza in 1992. Faysal acted in 19 movies in four years, but he did not become very famous in movies. So, he decided to act in TV dramas instead. On TV, he first had small roles. Then in 1999, he got a big role as Boota in the drama Boota from Toba Tek Singh. This role made him very famous quickly. Faysal also worked as a judge on shows like Dum Hai To Entertain Kar and Nachle. He was the host of the reality show Hero Banney Ki Tarang and the morning show Muskurati Morning on TV One.

Faysal acted in many famous dramas. Some of these are Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan with Humayun Saeed and Imran Abbas in 2009, Meri Ansuni Kahani in 2009, Masuri in 2005, Roag with Adeel Chaudary and Areej Mohyudin in 2014, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon with Saba Hameed and Aamina Sheikh in 2010, Qaid-e-Tanhai with Savera Nadeem and Sunita Marshall in 2010, and Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga from 2011 to 2018. He also acted in Rang Laaga with Saima Noor and Saboor Aly in 2015, Muqaddar with Haroon Shahid and Ayesha Gul in 2020, and many more. In 2014, he played the main role in the drama Bashar Momin.
